The BD Event is a low-cost industry event aimed to provide a forum for industry participants to conduct business development activities without the expense and time commitment associated with SNW and other trade shows. There are no customers or prospects to cater too at this event, only industry insiders - including current and potential suppliers, technology providers, channel partners, media, analysts, and financial representatives.

The intent of the event is to simply provide a dedicated, low-cost means for conducting standard business development activities, as well as to enable a more efficient opportunity for participants to get specifically what they want out of the event. For example:

  • Emerging Vendors will have the opportunity to present their value or plan for 15 minutes to any who wish to attend – including VC’s, channel partners, OEM’s, media, competitors, etc. The primary intent in this forum would be to introduce companies to potentially interested parties, and for the audience to be able to anonymously track developments for internal reasons.
  • CEO’s, VC’s, private equity investors and corporate deal makers will discuss what deals they are doing and expect to be doing in the year ahead covering M&A, financing and related strategic transactions.
  • Large OEM’s and System Vendors will benefit by presenting to all the smaller players as to what they are interested in and what they are not – and if there are small companies that believe they can aid the OEM in attaining those objectives, the preferred means of engagement. Since all these companies are already actively attacking each OEM, it seems to be in the best interest of that OEM to educate the market to its specific needs and to teach the potential supplier community exactly how it wants to conduct business. The potential for the OEM to gain efficiency in the processes they end up going through regardless can be a significant benefit. If the company were seeking new channel partners or even new potential partners that it wants to OEM to – instead of from – this would be a good venue.
  • Channel Partners, Resellers and System Integrators - will have an opportunity to meet with executives from technology vendors; to discuss sales strategies with counterparts from around the world; and to remain at the leading edge of what's hot and what's not.

Meeting rooms will be provided in order to optimize the executive’s time efficiency, as well as nightly cocktail parties. Analyst relations and PR teams will find the venue an easy place to have many meetings in one place.

The BD Event has been coordinated by a loosely affiliated group of industry insiders with a common objective of saving time and money for industry insiders.
